- Verify your subscription status (Free vs Pro)
- Authenticate your session
- Provide personalized features
Storage:
- Temporarily stored on our servers (notebooklmquick.com) for tier verification
- Authentication tokens stored locally in your browser
- Not shared with any third parties except as required for authentication
1.2 Local Browser Data
The extension stores the following data locally in your browser only:
- NotebookLM notebook lists and IDs – For the notebook selection dropdown
- User preferences – Dark mode, power user mode, notification settings
- Selected notebook – Your last selected notebook for convenience
- Temporary PDFs – Generated PDFs are stored briefly until upload completes, then deleted
This data never leaves your browser except when you explicitly upload content to NotebookLM.
1.3 Browsing Activity (Minimal)
We access your browsing activity only when you explicitly use a feature:
- Current page URL – Only when you click "Add Link" or "Generate PDF"
- Current page content – Only for PDF generation, not stored or transmitted to our servers
- YouTube page data – Only when you use "Add YouTube Video" or "Add YouTube Playlist" features
We do NOT:
- Track your browsing history
- Monitor your activity outside of the extension
- Collect data without your explicit action (button click)
- Share browsing data with any third parties

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
4.1 Third-Party Services We Use
Google OAuth (Authentication)
- What they receive: Your email, name, profile picture when you sign in
- Why: To authenticate your identity

- What they receive: Content you explicitly choose to upload (links, PDFs, YouTube URLs)
- Why: This is the core functionality of the extension

- Why: To extract video URLs for adding to NotebookLM

5.1 Where Your Data is Stored

- Subscription status (Free or Pro)
- Subscription expiry date (for Pro users)
In Your Browser (Local Storage):
- Notebook lists and preferences

- Temporary PDFs (deleted after upload)
5.2 How We Protect Your Data
